Hi, my name is Zach Miller.

I watched for years as a close friend of mine struggled with her Autistic son. “Sherri” (not her real name), did not have the insurance or the funds to properly treat her son and he just slowly retreated further and further into his own world.

Eventually Sherri got better paying jobs with insurance and understanding employers and she was able to get her son the help he needed. Unfortunately he did not show the type of improvement we had all hoped for.

When I asked one the experts what else we could have done, I was shocked to hear that the doctor believed that the boy probably would have developed normal social skills if he had just been given the proper care at an earlier age. While she did not rule out future improvement she did not paint a rosy picture.

When I decided to try my hand at having my own blog I couldn’t think of a better subject than Autism as I had seen what a toll it took on the families. And so here we are.

Since I don’t really have the skills to write a lot of interesting articles I’ve managed to find a way to gather information from other individuals and collect it all on this website.
