Question by Strange Angel: Are service dogs in training allowed in the same places as fully-trained service dogs?
I’ve been thinking about this for a while. Obviously all service dogs have to learn to behave in public, and correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t there organizations that do just that? If you have a dog that’s training to be a service dog, even if you yourself do not need a service dog, can it go all the places a fully trained service dog can? Also, on a different note, but related, are service dogs allowed in apartments that otherwise do not allow pets?
In case you’re wondering, I’m interested in volunteering to train a service dog (or more if all goes well). I cannot find a place that I can afford that will allow pets (I’m in college at the moment). I may be moving into on-campus apartments where no pets other than fish are allowed. I also get 1/2 price vet care since I work in a clinic, if anything ever came up that required more expensive vet care (also can do no-interest indefinite financing). Just a thought I’ve been toying with for quite a while now…

Yes, they are allowed as far as I know.
